The 7 Best Outdoor Restaurants in the Cities
Now that warm weather is finally on the horizon, I can’t help but spent my nights outside enjoying a cold drink & delicious food. Don’t ask me why, but I feel like once I am able to comfortably relax at a rooftop bar or outdoor patio, life is 100x better. So, if you are anything like me (aka a little patio obsessed), definitely check out these 7 best spots for an outdoor bite in the Twin Cities!
A long-time personal favorite for me has been Crave in Minneapolis. Located in LaSalle Plaza, Crave has beautiful rooftop views of the city and some great food to boot. This is a great date spot or drink destination for small groups. Of course, they have a tasty drink menu but if you opt for food, definitely give their flatbreads a try, you won’t be disappointed!

W.A. Frost is the meca of large patios. This St. Paul hub is always packed with locals enjoying a cold one & some good conversation. Since it is so well known, I suggest making a reservation ahead of time, especially if you are in a group.

In the heart of the city is SEVEN Steakhouse & Sushi. The menu is huge and the patio is big!

Alright, if you are into a more low-key and relaxing experience, I suggest trying out It’s Greek to Me in Minneapolis. This restaurant has a large Grecian patio outside, with comfy seating and lots of greenery. I really enjoy the aesthetics of this place, and obviously the authentic food too!

A little ways outside the city is BLVD Kitchen and Bar. This Minnetonka restaurant is best known for their Lobster Mac & Cheese, delicious flatbreads and mouth watering steaks. Their quaint patio is a great spot to unwind with a glass of prosecco. Yum!

Along St. Anthony Main sits Aster Cafe, one of the best known spots in town. The views along the water are unparalleled by any other area. Plus, there is almost always some sort of music or show happening. I suggest going for happy hour and taking advantage of their discounts.

Surley Beer Hall is the best place for groups, with beer and snacks galore! This is definitely ideal for the nights that you want an easy going experience, without having to worry about dressing up or getting too fancy. Plus there is definitely something on the menu for everyone!
